While my car is not shown here.. I have been caught out here in Bosham with my car.. I was lucky the water had not reached the bottom of the doors.. but I had to remove shoes and socks and roll up jeans.. it was a very quick tide rise.. Wish i had it filmed.. maybe someone has, send one day will show.. If you do see, think of me.. it's a yellow Toyota MR2.. I was do lucky.. I made it in time to just get in and reverse out..

Excellent. Reminds me of Weston-Super-mare. In the summer a lot of tourists park their cars on the beach not realising the Bristol Channel has the second highest tidal range in the world and that the sea goes out three miles but can come all the way up to the seawall at high tide. Sitting safely on the seawall and watching the reactions of the tourists as they come back to find their cars half submerged is a common past time for the locals. When I was a kid one enterprising chap with a tractor would kindly offer to tow them out - for a price! Someone should make a QR code for this and leave it on the flood warning boards so people can see what will happen to their cars.

To give a real indication, just how high did it come up the Anchor Bleu's wall? I recall about two feet over bar level being marked in the servery, but my memory may be defective...

And it's so clearly signposted...what do these folk think they've got that King Canute lacked? The tall doorsteps and extended lead flashings don't give it away either? And finally the local pub having a submarine hatch (admittedly not now fully functional) onto their sea-facing patio?
